Q: How do I know if my items are real gold, silver, or platinum?
A: We determine the purity of each piece of gold by going through a 3-Step process. We will test whether or not each piece is magnetic, has a proper hallmark stamp, and finally we will file into each piece and test with a solution. After performing these 3 steps, we will be able to determine whether or not your piece is real and the karatage of each piece. Remember, just because your gold looks real and has a stamp, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s authentic. If you have any questions and would like us to determine the authenticity of your items, simply bring them into our store and one of our qualified professional precious metals specialists will assess them. We offer FREE appraisals and there’s no obligation to sell. Please note that your items will be damaged in the testing process.
Q: How much will I get paid? How soon?
A: We pay you on the spot. When you come into one of our stores to sell your unwanted valuables, you will get paid immediately. The amount paid is based on the karat and weight of each piece as well as the current market price of the precious metals.
Q: Shouldn’t I be able to sell my items for what I paid for them?
A: It just depends, in some cases you will get more and sometimes less. We purchase items for the purpose of melting and refining the precious metals so we do not pay for craftsmanship or colored stones. Jewelry retailers have enormous mark ups due to the numerous resources it takes to create and sell one piece of fine jewelry. Q: I Bought an item online now what?
A: Thank you so much for your business! On the top of the screen above the item title there is a spot where it say availability, there is an address. This is the location where your item is located. Please bring your ID and copy of receipt, email, or screenshot on your phone. Show it to one of our friendly sales representatives and we will get your item. It’s that easy!
Q: I see an item I want to purchase online but I want to pay cash. Can I put the item in hold?
A: Currently we do not offer holds for items online for sale. All items online are for sale until the item is paid for.
Q: Do you offer layaway for online items?
A: We do offer a 50% down layaway option for all of our items online. To put an item in layaway please see the store where the item is located and let a sales representative know.
Q: How often are new items posted on Staqtrade.com?
A: Each and every day! our store are posting new items for sale Monday through Saturday.
Q: How long do I have to pick up my purchase item?
A: There is a 5 day period on all items sold online. If an item is not picked up in 5 days a refund will be issued to your credit card and the item will be reposted for sale.
Q: I have a question about an item listed online. How do I find out the answer?
A: If you call the store where the item is located, a sales representative will be able to answer all your questions. Or you can click on the Questions and Answer tab under the item picture and one of our sales representatives will email you back within one business day.
Q: Is my information secure?
A: Yes. We will never share your information with third parties. Checkout payments are securely encrypted.
Q: Do you test on animals?
A: No. We never test on animals.
